Shopping in Uralsk

Today we went out earlier than usual to go shopping at the local Bazaar before visiting with Liam. It is probably equivalent to our flea markets outside in the snow. They sell many things; fur hats, coats, shoes, blankets, household items, childrens toys and yes wedding dresses. A little strange. Out intention was to buy a hat for Liam, instead Keith and I wound up getting hats. Maybe we will blend in a little better now. We then went back to the "mall" looking for a traditional kazakh outfit for Liam and we finally found one. We bought it a little bigger for when he is around 4-5. It's so cute. It has the traditional hat, along with the vest and pants. We thought it would be nice to have something from his heritage. So happy we found it.

On the way to the Bazaar, there was an accident down the block from our apartment, in front of the Bakery. There was a lone police car upside down on the sidewalk. Still trying to figure out what happened. There were no other vehicles around. One wheel was missing, so maybe it came off and they lost control. Who knows....

We then went for our visit with Liam. He got to meet Tracy and Ian today. He was so good and all smiley for them. They only stayed for a few minutes before they left. I think he won them over. We had a good visit. He is starting to move more on his belly. He is moving to try to get the toys we put by him. Big move for little Liam. He is also a champ at pulling out his binky and then putting it back in. A secret talent we did not know about. He eventually fell asleep in my arms ending our visit a little early. So sweet.
